Coby to launch new Android 4.0 tablet line in 2012, including a 7-inch one
Ice Cream Sandwich is certainly proving to bring some awesome hardware to the market, from big name companies to the littler ones that you might not know so well. One of those littler companies is Coby; while you may know its products, the company hasn't released many of them, and the ones that have made it to the market already have typically been subpar when compared to the competition.
Coby wants to change that though, and the transformation from bad to (seemingly) good will start taking place in the first quarter of 2012. It announced today that five new Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) tablets will be released sometime in Q1, with one of them being a 7-incher. The specs for all of them will be the same, and they are as follows:
- 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU
- 1GB of RAM
- Storage expandable up to 32GB
- HDMI port that's capable of pushing 1080p video
And that's all we know as of the time of this writing. Coby states that the new tablets will be offered "at incredible prices" when Q1 of next year rolls around.
