Drawing Pad - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

I have a few nieces and nephews that even at ages two to four love technology. On Thanksgiving I pulled out my Touchpad and immediately had my four year old nephew Will climbing up on my lap to see what I was doing. Now Will is no ordinary four year old in that he is growing up in the age of technology. When he was two he could take his mothers iPod Touch and navigate to the Youtube app and find his favorite Elmo videos that had been bookmarked. He plays on his parents laptop, and knows how to handle a smartphone. A couple of times I have looked for a simple drawing app, and the best I could come up with was something like Magic Marker or Kids Paint. These are two simple programs that don’t have a whole lot of options. While they are great for Will’s two year old little sister, they are a little too simple for him to enjoy for too long.

Today on the Amazon Appstore, Drawing Pad is available for free, and I can’t wait for Will to try it out. In the first few minutes of playing with it I can tell it is something that could keep him occupied for a while. It’s simple enough to use, but also has enough options to be lots of fun. It has a very graphical interface in that you can tell exactly what kind of brush you are using and what color that brush will be. There are four different types of brushes to choose from. You can use a crayon, colored pencil, marker, or two different size paint brushes. There are also many different kinds of stickers to choose from, and I know Will loves stickers. You can save your pictures and also share them right from the app. If you are looking for a good drawing app for you or any of the little people in your life, save yourself $1.99 US and get Drawing Pad for free today from the Amazon Appstore.
