Hundreds of millions of monthly ad impressions coming from Amazon Kindle Fire

Kindle-Fire-reading

The Kindle Fire is Amazon's best-selling Kindle. And since the Kindle line of one tablet and two variants of e-readers is selling millions of devices per week, we can only assume that the former device is selling a few hundreds of thousands by itself.

That claim can be affirmed by a new report from Millennial Media states that the Fire is generating "hundreds of millions" of monthly ad impressions. That alone is an impressive feat, but the firm also states that the growth of ad impressions is increasing by 19% every day, which is even faster than Apple's iPad when that device first launched.

We still don't have any numbers regarding the sales of the Kindle Fire, but if I had to take a guess, the iPad (and every other tablet on the market) is losing some sales due to Amazon's little wonder. It's obviously the most important and popular Android tablet yet; we just need to see how much it's going to impact the rest of the industry. I'd guess that the iPad is taking the biggest hit. What are your thoughts?
