Skytex Skypad Alpha 2 now available, on sale for $169

Skytex_skypad

Last Tuesday, Skytex announced that its Skypad Alpha 2 would be available for order this week. And sure enough, the company has come through on its promise and the tablet is, in fact, available for order on Skytex's web store.

In case you need a refresher, the Skypad Alpha 2 tablet comes with some decent specs, although they won't destroy the competition in any benchmarks. A 1.2GHz single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage round out the insides, while the outside houses a 7-inch display with a resolution of just 800 x 480, on which you can view Android Gingerbread in all its glory. Of course, if you're not too fond of the low resolution, you can pump out 1080p content via the HDMI port.

The tablet actually sells for $219 regularly, unlike we heard last week. Thankfully, Skytex is running a promotion through Christmas day (December 25th) that'll shave $50 off the price tag. That makes the tablet just $169, which is actually a really good deal for what you're getting. Just make sure to use this coupon code when checking out at the online store: SPA250.
