Sprint chugs along with 3G network improvements, this time in Vegas

Las-vegas

It seems like Sprint is on a roll these days! All across the country, Sprint is improving network capacity and 3G data speeds, and for many HTC EVO users, this couldn't happen quickly enough.

The latest market that Sprint wants to show off is Las Vegas. In the past three months, Sprint has completed 63 network capacity upgrades, including building out a new tower, and it still has 52 planned for the next three months.

From the official press release:

We’ve seen the commercials: “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.” Well, maybe not anymore. With Sprint (NYSE: S) enhancing 3G network coverage around Las Vegas, customers there will be able to communicate (i.e. confess) to friends all the fun (i.e. misdeeds) they’re having during the holiday season, from shopping to festive parties to glittery stage shows.

This is just in time for CES in early 2012, where Sprint is planning some kind of big announcement. At least they won't have to be embarassed about the network then! So if you're in Vegas right now, how are data speeds on your EVO looking?
