BBC News releases Android app tailored for tablets

BBC News - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

One of the favorite things that a lot of people use their tablets for is reading the news. I’m no different and have tried all kinds of different news apps on my tablet. Most of the news I read is related to technology, but if you live in the UK the BBC News app might be just what you are looking for. Right now it is only available for the UK, but they claim a BBC Worldwide app will be coming later this year. BBC says it has almost ten million users worldwide of it’s current mobile apps.

The app is available for tablets with version 3.0 and up, and only for the 10-inch tablet range. The smaller 7-inch tablets will still use the phone version of the app. The app supports both landscape and portrait modes. It also has easy ways to share your favorite news stories and watch videos right in the app as well. It’s nice to see some of the bigger apps finally making apps tailored to tablets.
