COMO EA yacht ditches instruments for iPad

come ea - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

If you thought hooking up your car to your tablet using OBD-II was cool, the COMO EA yacht is for you. The 7 meter, 6 man luxury “yacht” (boat, more like it) is a short range recreational boat that ditches all the usual instruments for an iPad in a water tight holder. The iPad hooks up to all the relevant systems and provides the information display and input for them.

The boat itself is very short range, with an electric version that runs out of juice in an hour on max power. The diesel version is slightly less pathetic, but you still won’t be sailing around the globe with this. With a built in speaker system, fridge, water skiing functionality, and an open design this boat is definitely a toy more than anything else. Expect to shell out well over $100k if you decide to buy this “accessory” though.
