Galaxy Note may be coming to Verizon, Sprint as the Galaxy Journal

Galaxy-note-verizon

We were all suitably excited when the Galaxy Note made its stateside debut on AT&T at CES, but now it looks like the rumors about a Sprint release may actually be true. Not only that, a source also say that another CDMA version of the device will be made for Verizon, including LTE connectivity.

The source says that this new CDMA Note will be known as the Samsung Galaxy Journal, and will come to both Verizon and Sprint within the first half of this year. However, it is not clear whether the device will support Sprint's fledgling LTE network or just Verizon's, and the contract price is still up for debate as well.

While I am partial to GSM, the Note's release on the biggest US carrier should be big news for many of its fans. Not only that, the potential for super fast LTE to what is already a spec powerhouse is certainly an exciting idea. (I know I would prefer a LTE Note over a LTE Nexus.) If this release does happen as I hope it will, it would likely just serve to convince even more people to pick up our beloved phoneblet.
