Happy birthday Nothing But Tablets!
A year ago today we officially announced this site through several of our sister sites, and NBT was born. Back then, the tablet market was completely different from what we see today. The iPad 1 was more or less the only tablet on the Market, with CES having just ended and shown what we could expect later in the year. Now, a year later, the iPad 2 is getting long in its teeth. Android tablets have gone from being launched with immature hardware and software to quad core beasts with Android 4.0. WebOS for tablets was released, then pulled, and is now as dead as can be. Blackberry OS for tablets is not officially there yet, but I think most people have stopped paying attention to it. All this in just a year.
This just means that we were lucky to start the site when we did, as we really did jump in there right when the tablet revolution began. The site now counts 923 published posts, which goes to show exactly how much tablet news there has been. This product category is still beginning though, and so are we. If all goes to plan, I’ll be back here next year to tell you about how we’ve gone from being excited about quad core tablets to being used to…whatever it is we’ll have in a year. Hope to see all of you still with us then!
