I've said it before and I'll say it again: Ice Cream Sandwich is cool.
Even though there may not be a custom ICS ROM that allows for camera or 4G use yet, a lot of HTC EVO users are electing to test drive the newest version of Android on their rooted phones. And all those taking advantage of an early preview of ICS have no doubt noticed how bad ass the stock browser is. Yeah, sorry Sense, TouchWiz, Gingerbread – you guys got nothing on this browser. In addition to the shiny new ICS look, it's got tab switching (ala ICS task switching), Google Chrome bookmark sync, ability to save webpages for later offline viewing, an incognito mode, and overall faster rendering of webpages.
But since there's always room for improvement, Beansoft has taken the stock ICS browser, added a few crucial enhancements, and called it ICS Browser Plus. It currently includes the ability to easily switch user agents and brings back the quick controls from Honeycomb. It's still in its infancy, though, so more features are to come.
The one catch to installing this app on your HTC EVO is that you have to be running Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0.1 or higher).
I know, it's a sad day for us who dwell in the past, but it's still cool to see that the next version of Android is already being tweaked with when you are ready to take the leap!Droid Life]
