Sony Tablet S & P ICS update timeframe announced

Sony ICS - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

I’ve found there are two kinds of people when it comes to software updates. There is the kind that is perfectly happy with the version they have and don’t want anyone to mess with it, and then there are the people that are always looking for the next new version to be released. Well if you are a part of that second group and you own a Sony Tablet S or P, then you will be happy to hear that Sony has announced a timetable for those tablets to get ICS. It won’t be as soon as the Motorola Xoom or Asus Eee Pad Transformer updates however.

Sony has said that both tablets will be updated at the same time in the spring. That’s the only time reference we have to go on right now, and yes it’s a little vague. Spring can mean all kinds of times depending on what part of the world you live in. Here in Michigan it seems that winter sometimes lasts all the way through May. With that said, the official first day of spring is March 20, 2012. We’ll see how close to that date Sony gets with their update.
