Is Sprint testing a high-end Nokia Windows Phone?

Sprint_lumia

Today has primarily been all about Windows 8, but that's certainly not the only thing that Microsoft is focusing on. Windows Phone is another big product for the Redmond-based company, and a rumor from today just proves that fact.

That rumor is all about Windows Phone 8. Apparently, both Microsoft and Nokia are testing out a dual-core LTE device that runs the next-gen WP platform . . . and they're testing it on Sprint. The smallest national CDMA carrier in the country has only one Windows Phone, the HTC Arrive

This device most likely won't make its way to store shelves until late this year, but I don't think this story is just about new hardware. Sprint has been reluctant to release Windows Phones on its network. I attribute that to the huge success the carrier has had with Android and iOS, and the success Windows Phone hasn't had. Still, Microsoft's platform is really great; all it really needs now is a bigger fanbase so the Marketplace can grow.
