Walmart is also offering $50 with smartphone purchase

Walmart-gift-card-promo

Not to be outdone by Best Buy and its new $50 gift card promotion, Walmart has also decided to offer a $50 gift card to anyone who purchases a new smartphone contract through them. Walmart's terms are little different, though, so pay attention: First, this offer is valid in-stores only, not online. Second, you have to actually purchase the smartphone before February 14, unlike Best Buy's offer that allows you to purchase the new smartphone anytime between now and the end of 2012.

I called Walmart to verify that all currently available HTC EVO smartphones were included in this sale, and I was told that indeed all smartphones are included, even though the website does not specify this. Therefore, you may want to check with your local Walmart before making the trip, just in case they happen to be enforcing different rules. Also, since not all Walmarts carry Sprint phones, it's a good idea to double-check that, as well.

Competition between retailers is great, isn't it?
