Amazon Appstore celebrates its birthday with some awesome app deals

Amazon-appstore-birthday

It's hard to believe it, but it's already been a year since Amazon's Appstore first went live, offering a free paid app daily, and lots of other sweet app deals on top of that. And while I think the free daily app offers have been somewhat disappointing in recent weeks, Amazon wants to celebrate the Appstore's first birthday by offering some pretty big discounts on its most popular apps.

This includes some of the most popular apps, such as Fruit Ninja, Wolfram Alpha, Splashtop Remote Desktop, Dr. Seuss’s The Shape of Me and Other Stuff, TuneIn Radio Pro, Tetris, Pac-Man, The Lost City, Monopoly, AccuWeather Platinum, and Jamie Oliver’s 20 Minute Meals. I think that most of these have been offered for free at one time or another, but if you missed out, now is your chance to get these at up to 67% off.

Here's how it works: today, Amazon's deal is Plants vs. Zombies for only $0.99 (regularly $2.99). Tomorrow, it will offer two app deals. The next day, three… and so on, for the next week. So get your HTC EVOs ready, folks!
