Amazon Appstore gets updates, finally removes annoying feature

amazon appstore - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

As everyone knows the Amazon Appstore is one of my favorite apps. Who doesn’t like free stuff? However there has always been one very annoying feature that I’ve just had to ignore since the app was updated to 2.0. Every day I download the app of the day, whether I think I will use it or not. I have found a lot of cool apps that way, and even more crappy games. One of the stupidest additions to the app is that it will notify you if you have apps that you have purchased, but never installed. I don’t have the room for the over 300 apps that I have “bought” from the Appstore. Every day it tells me more than once that I have new apps to install. Well with the latest update Amazon finally added in an option to turn off the notifications. I don’t know who thought it would be smart to turn this feature on in the first place, but I am so glad I never have to deal with it again. If the notifications annoy you too, make sure you update when it prompts you too, hopefully the next time you open the app up.
