Audiosurf may be coming to iOS

Games that use your own music are always popular because at least it guarantees that you like the game music. Audiosurf is a PC game that has a lot of success on that platform by using the player’s own music to create a Wipeout-like race track for futuristic spaceship racer…things. I’ve played it quite a bit on PC in the past and it’s one of those apps that I keep searching for in the App Store every now and then because it would just be such a logical thing to have on iOS. Possible too, now that apps can access the music library.

Audiosurf Air is the latest version of the game, and the developer says he has it working on iOS due to it being made with Unity, a video game platform that allows a game to work pretty much anywhere once it’s made. Exactly what platforms the game will be released on isn’t clear yet, but as I said, iOS is an incredibly logical choice for a game like this, so all manner of logic points to that being one of the platforms. We’ll know for sure later this year.
