Best Buy offers discounts on the entire HTC EVO line

From now until Sunday, March 4, Sprint is discounting the entire HTC EVO line by $50-$100, depending on which EVO device you pick. Here are the sale prices:

• HTC EVO 3D: $49.99 (save $50)
• HTC EVO Design 4G: Free (save $99.99)
• HTC EVO 4G in white or black: $49.99 (save $50)

Of course, these prices are good for new lines or eligible upgrades only, and you'll have to sign a new 2-year contract. Additionally, the EVO Shift 4G is also discounted down to $49.99, but would you really opt for that over the EVO 3D, or even the EVO Design?

In any case, do you think Best Buy is trying to get rid of their EVO stock to make room for whatever is coming next? Perhaps more importantly, would you even consider buying a WiMAX device right now, considering what you know about Sprint's LTE strategy?
