Details leaked surrounding HTC One X for AT&T

Thanks to the wonders of the internet, we now know a bit more about the HTC One X, which is making its way to AT&T here in the US later this year. According to an anonymous tipster who calls himself Phonegeek and claims to be field testing the One X for AT&T right now, we should expect a release date sometime in mid-May, about a month and a half after it's released in Europe.

Additionally, AT&T's version will only have 16GB of internal memory, instead of 32GB like its European counterpart. However, the dual core Snapdragon S4 processor beats out every other existing device in both Quadrant and Browser benchmarking tool Vellamo, including quad-core Tegra 3 devices.

According to Phonegeek, "this is one sweet device and the only gripe I have so far is that it doesn’t have a MicroSD slot, and removable battery … Battery life does seem to be very good though so that may not be as much a deal breaker for some. The screen quality is insane though, everything is very smooth."

So is this the Android phone that can put Samsung back in its place, or does it not quite fit the bill?
