Dolphin Browser HD is on BlackBerry PlayBook as a result of Android emulator

Before I get into this news, let me just wrap up the past few weeks for the BlackBerry PlayBook. First, the tablet's price dropped to just $199. Then, we found out that it claims 15% of Canada's total tablet market. Finally (and just today, no less!), RIM released the official keyboard case for the device. Obviously, RIM doesn't think the PlayBook's going anywhere anytime soon.

I'd say that all of these factors, along with the recent PlayBook OS 2.0 update, have helped the PlayBook gain a ton of popularity. So much so that MoboTab, the team that brings you the Dolphin browser, has coded the browser for the PlayBook.

If you've ever used Dolphin browser, you'll know that it offers great features and great performance for Android users. Luckily, the same seems to be true on the PlayBook; aside from a few bugs due to the app being comprised of imported Android code, you can expect the same experience that's found on an Android device.

If this is what developers are going to do with the PlayBook, I believe we're going to see the PlayBook skyrocket in terms of popularity and market share.
