Galaxy Note ICS update delayed, but coming with more S Pen apps

Samsung just announced that the ICS update for the Galaxy Note will be delayed until Q2 of this year, which is likely to make some people a bit annoyed seeing as though the older Galaxy S II already has its upgrade in part of the world. The update isn't just a "boring" system update though but also comes with more S Pen-enabled apps from Samsung itself, so that you have more things to use the Note's pen for.

The so-called "premium suite" contains three apps, where the S Memo app is just an upgrade. S Note will be a note taking app that allows you to mix handwritten notes with all sorts of media content and access variou templates for doing so. My Story on the other hand is an app to create digital cards with, which can sound a bit boring and random, but actually looks nice in the video.

So, seems like it will be a while before the Note is running ICS, but perhaps by then Samsung has been able to iron out some of the bugs with the S II release. And if you don't want to wait, there's always the custom ROM route, which gives you the ability to enable tablet mode too.
