HTC One launch party is planned for April 5 in France

Paris

It looks like April 5 really is going to be the launch date for the HTC One Series … in Europe, at least. That's because HTC recently announced a launch party on that date at 8:30 p.m. in Paris.

The manufacturer announced the event on its French Facebook page, inviting fans to a "Soireé HTC One." The event will be open to the public, not just HTC's partners and the press. And HTC certainly has a reputation for throwing fun parties, so if you'll be in the area at that time, you'll definitely want to stop by.

Interestingly, this event in Paris takes place the day after Sprint and HTC are getting together in New York City, which I reported on Good and EVO. The general consensus of everyone in the tech world is that the purpose of this event is to announced the HTC One X on Sprint, possibly with EVO branding.

In the meantime, while we wait for worldwide availability of the HTC One Series, be sure to join in the conversation in our dedicated One forum.
