HTC One X for AT&T might not be released until May 6

Best Buy has been taking preorders for the upcoming HTC One X on AT&T for a little while now, but even so there's been no word concerning a potential release date yet. This all changed last night, when apparently at least one customer received an email from Best Buy informing him that "there's been a change to the release date for your pre-ordered item," and that release date is now May 6.

The email also includes a SKU for the device that still doesn't show up anywhere on Best Buy's website. So is this a fake, or a mistake? Or did someone in Best Buy's back office accidentally jump the gun?

It's hard telling, but we do know that the HTC One S could show up on T-Mobile USA on April 22. Could giving T-Mobile a two-week head start on HTC One sales hurt AT&T's prospects, or do you think enough people will hold out for the higher-powered One X?
