HTC One X stock ROM and root tools available before launch

Htc-one-x

As excitement mounts for the upcoming release of the HTC One Series, which will include a leaner and much-improved Sense 4.0 user interface, one developer has already released a ROM for the HTC One X, the most powerful phone in HTC's new lineup.

Based on a leaked RUU, the ROM is completely 100% stock; it was created simply by repackaging the contents of the RUU into a zip that can be flashed in recovery. As the developer also notes, this is a userdebug version, which means that an odexed version is not yet available.

This ROM is also not rooted, but root tools are included as a separate download, including Superuser and Busybox. Therefore, only those lucky enough to have demo versions of the One X will really benefit from this, but it's still awesome to see how the developer community can release something like this, before the device is even released anywhere in the world.

Are you planning on picking up any of the phones in the HTC One Series? If so, tell us about it in our new forum that's dedicated to these devices, right here on Pocketables!
