Samsung Galaxy S III to be announced and launched in April?

Galaxys3

Mobile World Congress is over. There were a lot of great device announcements, but one company was relatively quiet during the event: Samsung. It was widely expected that Samsung would introduce the latest iteration of the Galaxy S series, the Galaxy S III, at Mobile World Congress, but that obviously didn't pan out.

However, a new report from today suggests that we might be waiting for just one more month. Back in January, we actually reported that the release would be in April. We were just a little off for the announcement, which we also believed to be at MWC.

The new line is supposedly going to include a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display, a quad-core 1.5GHz Exynos CPU, and LTE 4G connectivity. Hopefully those specs come true because I'm starting to get pretty irritated with iOS and the iPhone in general. Quad-core power and historically easy-to-root Samsung hardware would push me out of the walled garden for sure.

Do any of you plan on upgrading to the GSIII?
