Bean Bag Kids present Pinocchio is an adorable interactive book for kids

A $500 iPad is perhaps not what most people consider a toy for kids, especially very young ones, but there are quite a few apps out there aimed to prove those people wrong. Bean Bag Kids present Pinocchio is definitely one such app, bringing storytelling to a whole new level. It’s sort of like a game, sort of like a book, sort of like an audio book. You have the story of Pinocchio told through both text and spoken words and illustrated with an interactive, highly graphically impressive background. Give it to a child, and it can follow along the story while at the same time interact with characters by clicking them, as well as try to collect 3 stars on each “page.

The entire thing is quite adorable, and a brilliant use of tablets. I would recommend buying a case designed for use with children when using an iPad for something like this though. The app is only $1 and available in the App Store.
