Good and EVO

Buy an OEM standard battery for the HTC EVO 4G for only $5

Following a couple of really good deals on micro SD cards that fit any device in the HTC EVO lineup, we were recently alerted to yet another awesome Amazon deal: this time on standard, OEM batteries for the original EVO 4G.

Depending on the seller, these batteries are going for as low as $3.05, plus $1.98 for shipping, bringing the total price to $5.03. After quickly browsing through some of the comments, though, it does look like buyers should be cautious about which seller they buy from: some people are reporting that they are actually receiving 1300mAH batteries, rather than the EVO 4G's standard 1500mAH. Others are reporting that these batteries are, indeed, identical to the originals, even down to parts numbers.

One reviewer who was sent a 1300mAH battery said that he emailed the seller and was quickly shipped the correct battery; he even got to keep the original, essentially getting two batteries for five bucks. Regardless, most of the reviews are overwhelmingly positive, but it might be helpful to keep these things in mind.
