Could this be the splash screen for the HTC EVO 4G LTE?
A member over at xda-developers has claimed that he's gotten his hands on some files that will be included in the HTC EVO 4G LTE, including the build prop and what appears to be the splash screen that displays as the phone boots up. (Note: this is an animated gif, so you may have trouble viewing it on a mobile device.)
This comes right after we received confirmation from a reliable source that the EVO 4G LTE will indeed be released on May 18, along with exclusive marketing images that are set to arrive in Sprint stores within the next couple of weeks.
We should note, however, that not everyone agrees with the May 18 release date. For example, the folks at S4GRU are still stating June 10, and they have been an extremely valuable resource surrounding the completion of Network Vision and the nationwide rollout of LTE.
Sprint still hasn't said anything official, so even though our source that's saying May 18 has been reliable in the past, we should still consider it a rumor.
But in the meantime, enjoy this splash screen, and just try not to get too antsy. Remember, patience is a virtue!
