Dropbox doubles its recruit a friend bonus

- for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

If you don’t already know it, I love Dropbox. There are so many ways to use it, I almost seem to be constantly finding new ones. If you want to see some of the cool ways you can use Dropbox on your tablet, just check out these articles. If you aren’t a Dropbox user yet, they just made an announcement you might want to take advantage of.

You see if you sign up for Dropbox and like most people just get the free account you will have 2GB of space. If you install the app on your Android device and use the automatic camera upload feature you can get an additional 3GB space for free bringing you up to 5GB free space. Now if you invite a friend you will get 500MB more space for free, instead of the 250MB it used to be. That means you can get up to 16GB more space for free, simply by inviting your friends to join. That would mean you would have 21GB of free space, just for inviting your friends. I just checked my account, and the good folks at Dropbox also gave all existing users double the space for any friends that they got to join previously. Now’s a great time to start hitting up all your friends and getting them to join.
