HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE makes an appearance on official DroidDoes site
A couple of weeks ago, we saw some leaked images of what was rumored to be the HTC Droid Incredible 4G, packing LTE and a dual-core processor. Although the listing was quickly removed, for a short time today the smartphone made an appearance over on Verizon's official DroidDoes website, confirming the specs and pricing, but still without a release date.
As expected, the Incredible 4G will come with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera, VGA front camera, LTE, and Android 4.0 with Sense 4.0. Thanks to the leak, we also know that the smartphone will have a 4-inch Super LCD, but running only at the qHD resolution, Beats Audio support, and a 1,700 mAh battery.
No release date has been announced, but the price as posted on the product listing was $299. Although I don't put it past Verizon, this pricing really doesn't make much since. There are much better smartphones out there, even the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon has been reduced $199. Even more surprising, the vastly better HTC One X is being offered by AT&T for only $199 as well. As such, even if the Incredible 4G LTE turns out to be a perfectly good device, I can't see why you would pay more for it over some of the other options. It may be a good option for HTC fans who want Beats Audio and who are stuck on Verizon, but even so I would wait for the inevitable price reduction before buying.
