FCC filing shows new Windows Phone from LG

If you're on Sprint, you've had only one Windows Phone option: the HTC Arrive. And while it was a nice device, it's already a year old. Nokia and other Microsoft partners are producing some killer hardware – for other carriers.

But it looks like Sprint is finally warming up to Windows Phone 7. An FCC filing was just released that shows a new Sprint Windows Phone.

The phone to your left is the LG LS831, and it supports the 800MHz EMSR band, a band that only Sprint uses. Also supported is the 1900MHz CDMA band and Bluetooth, although we don't know which variant of the latter. The filing contains a document named "Sprint Nextel Waiver," too, so this device is certainly destined for the smallest national carrier.

As for hardware, the LS831 is rocking a 5MP sensor on the back, a front-facing camera of unknown resolution, a headphone jack, and a microUSB port. We don't know any of the internal specifications just yet, but I'm hoping that we will soon; it's long overdue that Sprint releases a new Windows Phone.

Are any of you still carrying around the HTC Arrive? How many of you plan on picking the LG phone up when it's released?
