RIM to release first BlackBerry 10 device in October

Blackberry_10

For RIM, every day is important. The manufacturer is consistently losing money year-to-year, and it's most likely due to its inability to market lustful products to the consumer like it used to. But come October, the company may be getting a break in the form of BlackBerry 10

Today, it was leaked that RIM will be announcing its first BB 10 device in August, with the launch coming in the first half of October, which lines up perfectly with RIM CEO Thorsten Hein's projected "latter half of 2012" timeframe. Allegedly, this device will be touch-only; if you're someone who relies on a physical keyboard, your next-generation BlackBerry will be unleashed from its cage at some point in the first quarter of 2013.

I've always loved BlackBerry's phone hardware design, but I could never get past the typically poor experience of actually using one. Email and messaging were fantastic, but that's about all RIM's phones sold me on: messaging. I also use my phone for entertainment and web browsing while I'm on the go, so hopefully BlackBerry 10 can bandage those deep wounds that have caused RIM a great deal of pain in the past.

Are any of you as excited for BlackBerry 10 as I am?
