Samsung Galaxy S III to have 720p AMOLED display?

Galaxy_s_III

It's already April, the fourth month of the Gregorian calendar year. And even after a third of year has passed, Samsung still has yet to introduce its Galaxy S III line of smartphones. Luckily for us, companies don't have to announce anything for us to piece together what the product will look like. The GSIII rumors keep coming, and today we have a bit of information about the screen.

Let's start out with the most important part of the display, which is the technology it utilizes. The GSIII will allegedly come with an AMOLED display. AMOLED displays bring deep, beautiful colors and crisp contrasts – in other words, it's gorgeous.

On top of having beautiful colors, the display will also include a resolution of 1280 x 720. It'll supposedly make for 316PPI, which is the same as the Galaxy Nexus, and only 10PPI less than the iPhone's "Retina" display.

As you all know, I'm currently looking to switch platforms. If the Galaxy S III has even half of the features that have been rumored, I might be sold.
