Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 now ready for purchase
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 was announced in February, and since then, has been floating around the internet, just waiting to go on sale. At the beginning of this month, there was a delay caused by the company’s inability to get its TouchWiz’d version of Ice Cream Sandwich out the door in time; subsequently, Samsung slated the Tab’s release for the end of April.
Here we are, at the end of April, and the Tab 2 is ready to be purchased. Like we already knew, the 7-inch Android tablet will cost just $250 and include some pretty decent specs like a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display. It’s also got a 3MP rear camera and a VGA front, on top of 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity.
If this looks like a tablet that you’re interested in, you currently have two places from which to purchase it. First up is Amazon, where the Tab costs $249.99. Then there’s Abe’s of Maine; here you can get the new tablet for $0.99 cheaper. Both places offer free shipping, too.
I’ve said before that this seems like it’s the best tablet for the money. $50 more than the Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet gets you front- and rear-facing cameras and Ice Cream Sandwich, with the latter being the biggest selling point.
Let us know in the comments if you pick one up!
