Sprint to target more customers with bigger upgrade discounts

100-offer-sprint

Just in time for the HTC EVO 4G LTE, Sprint is trying its best to motivate certain out-of-contract customers to stay with the carrier by offering an additional upgrade discount of either $50 or $100, on top of the regular upgrade discount.

It's a bit unclear how Sprint is determining who the "valued customers" are that are lucky enough to get this offer, but some customers are better than no customers. If you are lucky enough to be a chosen one, then Sprint will notify you of the offer via snail mail or e-mail. It looks like the only catch is that you have to upgrade at a company-owned store, and you have to do it between April 30-June 11.

If this story sounds familiar, that's because it is: Sprint ran a similar promotion back in February and March, as well as a $100 promotion to some new customers that just ended a few days ago. It must have been successful enough to try again, and it couldn't have come at a better time.
