T-Mobile G1 spotted on ABC’s Missing

G1-sighting-1

Can you believe it's already been three and a half years since the first ever Android device, the T-Mobile G1, was released? Since that fateful day back in October 2008, we've seen dual- and quad-core Androids, dual-screen Androids, convertible Android tablets, not to mention Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, and Ice Cream Sandwich.

The images you see here are pulled from ABC's most recent episode of Missing, which airs Thursday evenings at 8:00 p.m. As you can see, the great great great great grandparent of current Android devices had an integral role in last night's episode.

With all the new stuff that's come out since the G1's initial release, it's almost kind of heartwarming to see this device still making media appearances and getting some air time. When you think about it, this is really the device that "started it all," or at least the Android bubble in which I find myself living nowadays.
