Update your Huawei MediaPad to Android 4.0 today

Huawei_mediapad

I'd like to reintroduce you to this guy, the first Honeycomb tablet to feature a 7-inch display. It's called the Huawei MediaPad and today, it's being updated to the latest version of Android.

Ice Cream Sandwich brings plenty of improvements on its own. Luckily for owners of this tablet, Huawei has decided to leave the operating system relatively stock so those improvements can shine on the tablet's hardware. The MediaPad still holds its own against newer competitors, thanks to a 7-inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, and 1GB of RAM that round out the internals.

If you are a lucky owner of the MediaPad, I'd suggest heading on over to Huawei's MediaPad website so you can download the new firmware. The download page is in the link, so you can check out all of the company's other downloads, too; but you probably don't care about the other downloads, so just look at the top of the downloads section. There your Ice Cream Sandwich resides.

Be sure to let us know in the comments how well the update works for you.
