Beware: Blue jeans are not compatible with the white HTC One X

White-one-x-dirty

If you’ve just picked up (or are planning to buy) a white HTC One X, you might want to take a moment and reconsider your plans. Even though the white version of the device is indeed very stylish, and it certainly stands out in a crowd, the matte finish on the polycarbonate casing seems to pick up lots of dirt, grime, and even the dye from blue jeans.

Luckily, most of the dye comes off with a bit of Windex, but over time it can accumulate on the device and take away most or all of its original luster. Some tips that others have mentioned to keep your white One X safe include:

  • Wear white jeans
  • Keep an open ziplock bag in your pocket
  • Stock up on alcohol wipes
  • Get the black One X

Seriously, though, be careful: this is an expensive phone that you’ll probably be carrying for the next two years, and you don’t want it to look like the picture above after just a few weeks.
