CordLite cable for Apple devices has integrated touch activated LED lighting

Have you ever fumbled around to plug in your phone when it's dark? I know I have, in fact it has become something of a ritual since I'm also practically blind without my contacts on, let alone with no light. That's why I once again wish my Galaxy S II had an Apple connector, as the solution to that problem just hit Kickstarter for Apple's devices.

The CordLite is a USB cable with LEDs integrated in the 30 pin connector part of the cable. These LEDs light up the device so you get it plugged in on the first try, as well as indicate which way to insert the connector. What's really brilliant however is that the entire thing is touch activated, so it turns on when you grab the connector and turns off when you let go. That way it requires literally no extra effort to make the cable light up, and it should hopefully be a true win/win solution.

It's not surprising that this project is doing quite well on Kickstarter, and it's already 1/3 of the way to the $70,000 funding goal with well over a month to go. $30 is the amount you have to pledge to get one of these cables come September. Luckily there will be a microUSB version at some point too, but details on that aren't ready yet.
