Kickstarter spotlight: Touchtype iPad case

touchtype case - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

Keeping the Apple Bluetooth keyboard close to the iPad is something I’ve tinkered with myself. I’m not the only one who has stared at the thing and wondered how to make it more like a keyboard case, it seems, as the Touchtype case for the iPad is made specifically for keeping the keyboard in the same case as the iPad. If you ignore the fact that the designer apparently made a design choice based on the fear of plastic scratching glass (which is simply not possible), the case looks quite functional, with both portrait and landscape modes supported, stand functionality, and magnets to unlock the iPad 2/3. The case is also universal and works on all three generations.

The project is only looking for $2500 in support, which it has raised four times over already. Prices start at $47 for the case, which isn’t too bad. This might be somewhat of a niche case because it’s made specifically for one keyboard, but on the other hand’s it’s a very popular – and very good – keyboard. Video after the break.
