Rumored LG LS970 might detail LG’s answer to the Galaxy SIII

Lg-ls970-leakAbout a week ago, LG announced that they would be making a very impressive rival to Samsung's Galaxy SIII, due out sometime this month. Details were few, but what we did know is that the smartphone was going to be good.

Now, BriefMobile has gotten a hold of images which they claim show the LG LS970, as well as some specs. While they don't mention LG's announcement, based on some of the similar specifications (such as a unique 2GB of RAM) it appears as if the LS970 is the same smartphone that LG was talking about in their previous announcement.

According to the leak, the LS970 will include a 28nm 1.5GHz quad-core Quallcomm Krait/Snapdragon S4 series and Adreno 320 GPU, a setup that should easily rival Samsung's Exynos setup. Paired with the processor is 2GB of RAM, a 2,100mAh battery, 13MP camera, and 720p 4.67-inch display.

While this leak didn't provide any information about the OS of choice, the precious announcement said that Ice Cream Sandwich would be running on LG's next flagship.

Once again, we can't be totally sure that this leaked device is actually the same hardware that LG will announce, but it certainly seems likely. I, for one, hope so, because this LG LS970 looks like one killer device, and I can't wait for the official announcement.
