Another deal alert: Best Buy cuts price of HTC One S

one s best buy - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

In case you don’t like dealing with mail-in rebates, Best Buy has decided to cut the price of the HTC One S to only $99.99. Combine this with the Phone Freedom promotion from earlier in the year, and you can walk out the door with a shiny new One S for a penny less than $50.

This price cut certainly makes sense: even though I think the One S is the best phone on T-Mobile right now (at least until the Samsung Galaxy SIII is released), it was still hard to justify a $200 price tag when the bigger and faster HTC One X from AT&T and the HTC EVO 4G LTE from Sprint were both sitting next to it on the shelf for the same price.

There’s no word on how long this price will last, but I have a feeling it could be a permanent price reduction. There’s absolutely no indication on Best Buy’s website that this is for a limited-time only, and like I said – given the competition that the One S faces – it seems likely that it will remain this price.
