HTC might be working on new flagship HTC One XXL superphone

htc one xxl screenshot - for some reason we don't have an alt tag hereTake this with an incredibly huge grain of salt, but the latest rumor making its way around the web is that HTC is working on a new flagship phone in its One series, dubbed the HTC One XXL and packing some incredibly nice specs: a quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch 720p HD screen, 8MP rear camera, and a 1.8MP front-facing camera.

Contrary to what the moniker “XXL” implies, the phone isn’t as big as the 5.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Note, but these specs are still pretty nice and can most certainly give the Galaxy SIII series a run for its money. Granted, things like this are easy to fake – this screenshot could have very easily been altered to say whatever someone with an imagination wants it to say. But on the other hand, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumors of an XXL One Series device.

Personally, I’d like to see a One Series tablet, but it doesn’t seem that’s in HTC’s plans right now. Oh, well – a tech writer can always dream!
