Google starts shipping preorders of the Asus Nexus 7

nex7 - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

With Jelly Bean starting to roll out to Nexus devices and the Galaxy Nexus back in the Play Store, Google has decided that it’s time to start shipping Nexus 7s out to people who preordered the device when it originally went up for sale.

The confirmation that the 7-inch Nexus tablet has started shipping came from Google’s Nexus Twitter feed. The company tweeted out a little rhyme to let its followers know that the tablet is indeed shipping:

Locked and loaded, ready to play: we’ve started shipping +Nexus 7 pre-orders today! google.com/nexus/#/7

If you preordered a tablet it should be arriving at your doorstep in a matter of days. If you didn’t preorder, don’t worry: the device will ship “soon,” with its Play Store page showing one to two weeks as the estimated shipping timeframe. The price hasn’t changed, either, so you can still get the device in your hands for $199 or $249, for 8GB or 16GB, respectively.

Let us know when your Nexus 7 arrives if you preordered it; if you haven’t ordered one yet, let us know if you do!
