ITG releases xpPad with Windows 7

It’s been a while since we’ve covered ITG, the company who brought us both the xpPhone 1 and xpPhone 2. But that’s because its last product was the second xpPhone, and that was released back in March. Since then, we’ve heard absolutely nothing about new products from the company.

Until today, of course. The company reached out to inform us that it has just released a new product, the xpPad. This 9.7-inch tablet (that looks way too much like an iPad) runs Windows 7. The operating system is driven by a set of less-than-stellar specs: a 2GHz Intel Atom Z550; 2GB of DDR2 RAM; up to 64GB of internal storage, expandable by way of a microSD slot; and a 4500mAh battery capable of playing back “video or audio” for five hours. It’ll also be able to connect to WiFi networks, of course, and will come with the option to connect to EVDO/CDMA networks.

As for input, there’s a miniUSB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It looks like that’s it, though.

The Windows 7 versions of the tablets come in 32GB and 64GB models, priced at $1010 and $1100, respectively. There’s no word on Windows 8 compatibility – be it the operating system itself or Metro, since the resolution isn’t known at this time – and since there aren’t any visible full USB ports, it might be a difficult undertaking.

Below is a gallery of the xpPad. Let us know if you’re interested!
