Valve starts Steam Summer Sale today, lets you get thousands of games for less
Valve’s Steam game distribution service is wildly popular with PC and Mac gamers. Competitive pricing and a large selection of content makes it one of the premier destinations for purchasing games. And although the pricing is already competitive, Valve wants to entice you to buy more games through Steam by holding its annual Steam Summer Sale.
This year, Valve is promising discounts of varying amounts on thousands of games. The sales start today and will last through July 22; during that time, you can snatch up such titles as Valve’s own Portal 2 for just $4.99 or Bethesda’s popular The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for a mere $39.99. The sale doesn’t include just single games, either: there are a number of “Pack Deals” that include a variety of games from a particular video game company, ranging from companies like Sega to Rockstar.
There are literally thousands of other games in Valve’s catalog that are on sale for the next ten days, too, so if you’re interested in any of them, I’d suggest hitting up the source (no pun intended) link below to get some crazy discounts. I’ve already started on picking up a few cheap titles myself.
