Confirmed: Samsung’s next Galaxy Note to launch at this month’s Mobile Unpacked event

unpacked e1344010085744 - for some reason we don't have an alt tag hereA while back, I wrote about some GLBenchmark benchmarks that allegedly belonged to Samsung’s Galaxy Note successor. That was back on July 20, and back then, we thought that the “Galaxy Note II” would be announced on August 30.

Samsung has proved our predicted date wrong – but in a good way. Instead of an announcement on August 30, Samsung has pushed the date forward one day to August 29. Oh, and the manufacturer has confirmed that the next Galaxy Note will be announced on that date at the company’s Mobile Unpacked event.

The confirmation came from a Samsung spokesman. From Reuters:

“We plan to unveil the next Galaxy Note at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin on August 29.”

Unfortunately, that’s all Samsung would say. The company seems to want to keep everything secret until the event on August 29. That’s a little more than three weeks away yet, unfortunately, but we’ll learn everything about the Galaxy Note II then.

Are you interested in a new Galaxy Note or are you still pretty satisfied with your current Note?
