Apple to hold iPhone 5 media event on September 12

iphone51 - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

It’s almost here.

That’s what Apple has said to a number of media outlets today. The Cupertino hardware and software giant today sent out invitations to the rumored September 12 iPhone 5 event – and it is indeed going to be about the iPhone 5, as you can see from the invitation above.

The event is being held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, a place known for Apple’s product launches. That, paired with the invitation, should lend credence to the fact that this will be (at least) partly about the next-generation of iPhone.

Whatever it is, Apple’s sure to make a big deal out of it. The event starts at 10:00 a.m. PST, where a number of members of the media will be in attendance to cover it.
