iPhone 5 promo gets spoofed, another spoof mistaken for real thing on Fox 5

iDevice promo spoofs have become tradition, and with the devices themselves holding little interest with me, I’ll freely admit that these spoofs are something I look forward to. While Apple is very far from being alone in doing so, the promo videos the company creates for its products are more than a little bit obnoxious and self serving. That just makes it that much easier to spoof them, and this one’s a good one. It’s made by comedian John Elerick, and doesn’t hold back with the jokes about Apple’s new wonder. Check out the original promo below to compare, and be warned that there is some slight profanity in the spoof version.

In somewhat related news, Fox 5 New York will probably be looking for new researchers soon as the channel recently reported on the iPhone 5 using another spoof video as the source material. An old concept video showing an iPhone 5 with a laser keyboard and holographic imaging made it to air, and you have to wonder how people working in television can be so oblivious to where imaging technology is at. Check out the clip below. I personally don’t know what I find the most sad – the failure itself, or the fact that people are waiting in line for that thing.
