HTC One X now on sale for a penny at Amazon

one x penny - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

HTC’s latest flagship phone – the HTC One X+ – was announced last week, and is even available for preorder here in the US. So what does that mean for HTC’s former flagship device in the One series?

Discounts!

While the phone is (and has been for a while) $99.99 at AT&T, Amazon Wireless has decided to go ahead and drop the price down all the way to $0.01 for new individual and family customers. Upgrades and add-a-lines are still $99.99, but that’s a great deal for what is sure to be a very capable and competitive Android smartphone  – even after the One X+ is released.

Of course, like always, customers of Amazon Wireless also enjoy the Best Price Guarantee, free 2-day shipping, and no sales tax in most states. Another perk is that these discounts are instantaneous, meaning you don’t have to worry about mail-in rebates or other junk like that.

I’ll be interested to see what kind of discounts the One S will receive in light of the One X+. Indeed, as long as you don’t mind being a few months late to the game, this is a great deal to take.
