Sprint says LTE construction is now happening in more than 200 cities

4g lte small - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

During its third quarter earnings call earlier today, Sprint said that LTE is currently being built out in more than 200 cities across the country, including the 115 cities in which LTE is expected to officially launch in the coming months. Additionally, it says that over 4,300 Network Vision sites, which include enhanced 3G and 4G LTE, are already on the air, and over 13,500 sites are now ready for construction.

Sprint had other cheery numbers to report as well, including more net subscriber additions (900,000 to be exact), more postpaid growth, and losses that were under previous analyst estimates. Combine that with its expected cash infusion from Softbank, and it looks like things are finally starting to turn around for the carrier.

Of course, all of this talk of LTE and Network Vision is just smoke and mirrors until people actually start seeing improvements in everyday use. But at least Sprint looks like it’s still on track.

[Sprint] Thanks, Bill!
